*Growing Dinner*

gardenwmWe love Growing Dinner! From the time we were little ladies, we have had the benefit of eating fresh and homemade canned goods from our grandparent’s garden. We learned the value of eating home grown at their knee and hope to pass on the same tradition to our kids. We culminate our grown produce from 4 different households: Ginny provides the fresh and dried herbs that she grows from seed. Chrissy provides the potatoes, onions, beans, broccoli, jalapeno peppers, garlic, strawberries, apples, raspberries, lavender, and honey. Our mom grows onions, potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, dill, raspberries, and farm fresh eggs. Last, but not least, is Grandma who grows EVERYTHING! She is a master with countless fruit trees and a monstrous garden plat. Most plants on her property have a function, as well as looking pretty, and she keeps an entire extended family (7 families to be exact) stocked with home grown food year round. That’s our grandma! She’s a busy bee.
